About
Submitted by peter on Wed, 2005-04-06 20:39.Welcome and thank you for logging onto Carrickmacross Cycling Club.org. The Club was set up in 1989 but due to a lack of active participants it soon broke up and disappeared into the oblivion. Or so it seemed until early 2004 when whispers of a re-launch started to surface. By June 2004 the club had been reformed and after a gap of 14 years was back on the road again.
The Club is a relatively small venture and to date we have a total of 25 members. We concentrate mainly on leisure and touring cycling and youth development and we are fully registered with Cycling Ireland. We meet every Sunday Morning for our weekly Club spin at Market Square in front of the Courthouse at 09:00hr. You can’t fail to notice us on the road as we wear very distinctive Club colours of Yellow Red and Black. Anybody interested in joining can get more information by contacting Dermot (087-2913550) or Declan (087-2468016).
